AntigenApp
AntigenApp is a web application which functions both as a database and specialised bioinformatics platform for nanobodies.
Nanobodies are a small form of antibody which hold significant promise as diagnostic and therapeutic agents. The experimental pipeline at the Rosalind Franklin Institute for nanobody production involves multiple stages and experiment modalities. AntigenApp provides a platform to capture all the relevant experimental data and metadata in a way that is searchable and shareable among teams and collaborators. On top of this database capability, we have been integrating various bioinformatics capabilities, including automated nanobody sequences annotation using IMGT V-quest and BLASTp search to find alike nanobodies.
AntigenApp uses a Django/Python backend and React frontend. The application runs on Kubernetes using a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) approach. It is developed as open-source software and we would welcome new features and collaborators.
