The Hub at Harwell

The Rosalind Franklin Institute sits at the centre of the rapidly expanding Harwell Science and Innovation Campus. 

Opened in 2021, the 5300m2 Hub was designed by leading researchers to deliver world-class laboratory space. with bespoke facilities to enable the development of the world leading technology hosted at the Franklin, including four highly stable electron microscopy suites, a flexible lab for mass spectrometry imaging, wet labs and a chemistry facility with 44 fume hoods and our high throughput molecular discovery.  Our social and write-up spaces were designed to encourage networking and collaboration.

The Hub houses all core and support staff for the Institute, plus visiting researchers from industry and academia.
