Dr Sumrati Gurtoo

After obtaining both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Medical Microbiology, Sumrati joined CSBMM in Mangalore, India, to pursue her PhD under the supervision of Dr. Arun A.B. During her doctoral research, she was involved in various clinical projects utilizing multiomics and other advanced technologies. Her doctoral research specifically focused on identifying early urinary and serum biomarkers in newborns to predict the severity of neonatal asphyxia, using a high-resolution, unbiased proteomics approach.
