Dr Fabiana Rodrigues de Goes

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Fabiana is starting as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Artificial Intelligence with Dr Alexandre Paschoal.

She completed her PhD in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics at the University of São Paulo (USP), where her thesis focused on graph-based learning methods, especially for representation learning in k-partite graphs, applied to different fields such as recommender systems and the prediction of associations between long non-coding RNAs and diseases.

She then started a postdoc at the Bioinformatics and Pattern Recognition Group at the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR), where she conducted research on machine learning and graph theory for the analysis, feature engineering, and classification of genomic sequences.

She is interested in developing interdisciplinary research using artificial intelligence as a foundation. Over the last few years, she has worked with various classes of machine learning methods to make contributions to diverse fields, primarily biological sciences.
