Dr Amanda Acevedo-Jake

Senior Postdoctoral Research Associate

Amanda completed her PhD in 2017 at Rice University (Houston, TX) working with Prof Jeffrey Hartgerink. Following her graduation, Amanda has held postdoctoral positions working with synthetic biomimetic materials including peptides, proteins, hydrogels and DNA, and has gained significant experience in biophysical characterization, designing mimetics and testing biological materials in in vitro and in vivo settings, all with the aim of developing systems which can treat and model disease.
