Dr Jane Wibley

Project Manager

Jane has several years of project management experience on multiphase, multinational, industrial-academic collaborations and is looking forward to supporting researchers at the Franklin to fulfil the potential of the Science Challenge portfolio. Recent experience as a Project Manager in the agrochemical industry over the last 7+ years includes running projects funded by Innovate UK and EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.

Prior to project management, and following a pharmacy degree and PhD in molecular modelling & organic chemistry, Jane has spent most of her scientific career in Structural Biology with experience in universities, The Institute of Cancer Research and then as senior-scientific consultant at Syngenta. Here, she drove structure determination of agrochemical proteins to support herbicide, fungicide & insecticide discovery; set up in-house structural-biology / chemical crystallography platforms; and established multiple industrial-academic collaborations to tackle difficult targets.
