Lorna has a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University.

Most recently she worked at Oxford Instruments for 3 years as a Project Manager managing the delivery of bespoke cryogenic fridges used in research and quantum computing applications.

Before that Lorna spent 10 years working as an engineer at Caterpillar; she completed the 2-year grad scheme, she then spent 4 years developing and integrating turbochargers into 3.6 to 7.1 litre engines.  After this Lorna worked as an Application and Installation Engineer, working closely with Caterpillar Machine Groups integrating engines into their machines.
